Huntingdon Stags ‘A’ 0 – Cambridge ‘Sand’ 30
Good pressure from the start from Cambridge. A mistake by Huntingdon
Stags gave Jonah the chance to capitalise and over the line for the
first. This was followed by good attacks from the forwards and an
excellent Cambridge scrum win to give Hugh Barker the second.
In the second half, a good rip from Marcus was followed by great
mauling and Robert was over. Rucking over gave Cambridge the ball in
the run-up to the fourth with Louis Bodrozic making it over the line
this time. A great tackle from Hugh led to an excellent run from Harry
Molton for the 5th. Finally Harry Connor did a fine off-load to Jonah
for the sixth.
Huntingdon Stags ‘B’ 10 – Cambridge ‘Blood’ 0
Great tackling from Ed Hyde, Ben Taylor and Ewan Traynor couldn’t hold
Huntingdon back and they scored two trys in quick succession near the
start of the game. Cambridge then gained confidence, battled hard, and
prevented Huntingdon from scoring again.
Huntingdon Stags ‘A’ 0 – Cambridge ‘Sand’ 35
Great co-ordinated play from Cambridge but Huntingdon fought back hard
and looked ready this time. Jonah got the first following a pick-up
from Milo and an off-load to Harary Connor. The second came from a
lineout and drive forward to Harry molton and over. Good rucing from
the forwards and an excellent pass from Harry Connor down the line to
Louis who went over. Good rucking from the forwards allowed Marcus to
roll over for the 4th. Sam Mace did a fine rip and run setting up the
5th, with Marcus going over again. The 6th came from a scrum win, with
Jonah going over again. Finally a lose Huntingdon ball saw Cambridge
pick it up and it was Hugh who got the 7th.
Huntingdon Stags ‘A’ 0 – Cambridge ‘’Blood’ 5
Cambridge ‘Blood’ were really up for the repeat game. They battled
really hard, and the score was 0-0 at half time. Early on in the
second half there was great scrummage work that eventually allowed Ben
Taylor to go over the line to put the score to 1-0 for Cambridge.
Huntingdon battled really hard but Cambridge worked really well as a
team piling on the pressure and keeping Huntingdon away from the
try-line. A fine result for the boys.
