Match Reports 2007-8 Season - Under 10 Match Reports 2007/8

Match 1

Cambridge played hard with robust tackling, by both sides, but this lead to deadlock and 0 – 0 at half time.  However, Biggleswade did have the territorial advantage.

In the second half several losses of possession led to a Biggleswade score which decided the game.  It was a very close game and Cambridge fought hard.

Match 2

Cambridge spent most of the first half in Bigglewade’s half and some good passing and off loading lead several times to Cambridge nearly scoring.

In the second half Biggleswade stole the ball from Cambridge on their own line and ran the length of the pitch to score.  A good effort by the Cambridge team.

Match 3

This was a much more open game with more space to play in.  The forwards worked well and this lead to a good try by Milo Reynolds.  Jonah followed this up quickly with another, after some quick thinking and snatching the ball to succeed.  There was good solid defence throughout the half and Ed Hyde finished it off with the ball over the line from the bottom of a pile of boys!  Jonah scored again before the second half.

In the second half there was some nifty footwork from Jonah to secure the 5th try.  The spectators were in discussion whether it was a side step or a Campese hitch-kick!!  There was lots of good solid passing which really moved Cambridge up the field to success.
