Both clubs have invested heavily in playing staff over the summer break and will be eager to get back into the swing. Ealing are among the favourites for their division and will provide quality opposition in 3 thirty minute "halves" designed to provide a serious work out for all available squad players. Coach James Shanahan and new forwards coach Bob Crooks are anticipating a serious afternoon`s work, testing player combinations and training drills in a competitive environment and introducing the new additions to Fortress WRP. The squad will split after this weekend ready for the next step - the Wanderers at Rugby Lions next Friday evening, KO 7.45pm, with the First XV taking on Bedford Blues at Goldington Road on the Saturday at 3pm. If the last two encounters are anything to go by, that`s one not to miss ! The season starts here - and it promises to be a big one!
