Cambridge pressured Sudbury from the kick off, securing put-in at the scrum. A good dummy run from Patrick, quickly recycled and a run by Luca took play to the Sudbury line. The ball was lost and cleared by Sudbury. Several quick plays took the ball back up to the Sudbury line, the scrum drove over and Hugo touched down (5-0).
At the restart Sudbury won ball, despite a clean catch by Hugo. An excellent clearance from Freddy took the ball back in to Sudbury's half. The scrum was well contested and ball taken by Patrick and then Todd down the left wing, recycled and Luca ran wide to score on the right (10-0).
HALF TIME
Cambridge attacked with some quick passing, Todd to Henry to Luca to Freddy who was pushed out just short of the line. At the subsequent line out Hugo broke through to score again (15-0). Another excellent series of down the line passes lead to a scrum on the Sudbury line. But a big clearance kick, and fast follow through fly kicking lead to a Sudbury scrum on Cambridge 5m line. A good tackle by Freddy prevented a Sudbury try. But Luke's clearance kick was caught cleanly and Sudbury attacked again. Tight defence pushed Sudbury out just short of our line. Cambridge cleared again, chased well by Luca though unfortunately knocked on.
From the scrum, Cambridge three quarters pressured Sudbury's backs and counter attacked with a great run from Freddy then Thomas leading to a ruck near the opposing line and Seb touched down in the last minute (20-0).
A truly impressive display of fast moving rugby. Well done boys.

A high(ish) tackle gave Colchester the advantage before being bundled into touch again, but they again stole the ball to score and convert to bring the points to 14-0. Good strong play in the last minutes from Luca pressurised the opponents but they managed to clear to touch for the final whistle. Game over . But Cambridge will be back .
