God’s country! sun was out & warm, which matched the welcome, great hosts!

The hosts K/o, but an early break from Louis Rawlings offloaded to a hovering Marcus Jones to open our account from our own 22. Now settled we attacked, Robbie Zhao broke & used the wings, but was blocked, Ollie Dakin wanted to have a go & did, popped to Toby Hackett, out to Jonesy from our 22-again, only to be pulled down, but off loaded to Rawlings to place try # 2. Off we went again, Joe Todd picked up a Ryan Headington drop, went inside, switched & off loaded back to Ryan who spooned it to Toby who switched again & popped back to Ryan who planted # 3 between the posts. The delightful passing continued, Rory Sheppard caught, legs into 5^th, then ankles into reverse between the 22’s vanished the ball backwards for Sean Cooper to magic up our 4^th try. Finlay Walker mauled his way between the 22’s only to be stopped; Harrogate applied pressure, forcing a succession of scrums, the 1^st half finished with Sam Behagg & Jonno Bailey winning back the ball.

Starting from where we left off, Coops broke, chipped & was intercepted, but still managed to collect & nearly made the line, but didn’t see Zhao on overlap, or did he? Jonesy broke again & got to the line, but ran out of room, Noah Rosen had some, used it & placed # 5. Walker took the catch; rumbled forward got 3 forwards interested & off loaded to Finn Brown who got their 22 & pooped to Behagg who finished off the job with # 6. Harrogate gathered themselves & went for it only to be stopped with what we all thought was a true hospital tackle by Behagg & he got the ball out to Coops to place # 7. With time running out, Matthew Holl got the ball & drew the defence off loading to Bryn Kendrick Jones to land the final try & the perfect finale for the tourists with full credit to our hosts for never giving up, they ran us right to the final whistle & we  appreciated it when you all clapped Sam Behagg back on, although I’m sure he wasn’t all there.
